How much roof space do I need for solar panels?
On average, you will need about 5 to 7 m² of roof space per kilowatt of solar capacity. A typical 5 kW home system needs around 25 to 35 m².
Will solar still work during a power outage?
Yes, if your system includes a hybrid inverter and batteries. The inverter automatically switches to backup mode, powering your essentials during outages.
What appliances can I run during a power outage?
Most systems are configured to power essentials such as lights, Wi-Fi, security systems, a fridge or freezer and selected plugs. Larger loads like stoves or air conditioners can be included depending on system size.
What happens on cloudy or rainy days?
Solar panels still generate power, but at reduced output. Batteries and the grid balance this out, so your essentials stay covered.
How long do solar batteries last?
Quality lithium batteries, such as those from Dyness, Pylontech and Freedom Won, typically carry a warranty of 5 to 10 years. Warranties differ between brands and models, and your quote confirms the battery and warranty for your system.
Can I expand my system later?
